As a retired hotel manager and mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Bettye knew that she had a calling to serve others that hadn’t been fully realized.
For years, Bettye longed to share the story of hope that came out of her long journey with her son through his 10-year incarceration. She had the idea for her story and had attempted to put together her thoughts and notes into a book draft, but knew that she didn’t have the writing skills to see the project through to completion.
